The Children’s Clinic of Rusk in conjunction with the Rusk Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by an open house to mark the occasion of becoming a new member of the Chamber and showcasing the new pediatric clinic In his welcoming remarks, Dr. George Fidone, co-owner of the clinic, said the clinic has an outstanding and well trained staff with access to specialized resources in order to provide the highest quality of care for pediatric patients in Rusk and the surrounding area. “Our motto is to keep communities healthy and that starts with growing healthy children,” he said.
Completed in late 2017, the 2,500 square foot, state-of-the-art building houses 6 exam rooms, lab and nursing station. “We are delighted to be a part of this community,” said Dr. Jeff Glass, also co-owner of the clinic. “Today’s ribbon cutting is a celebration of children since they are our future. I believe this clinic will be a great benefit to this community and to the welfare of its children.”
The clinic’s nurse practitioner, Jami Hicks did the honor of cutting the ribbon surrounded by staff, Chamber members, family and friends. Located at 1375 Dickinson Drive in Rusk off Highway 69 next to the ETMC, the clinic is open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
The clinic offers well-child visits, sick-child visits, which include same day appointments; school, sports and camp physicals, all childhood immunizations and vaccinations, and on-site labs and services. Same-day appointments, particularly for sick children are available. We accept the following insurance including; most commercial insurances, Superior Medicaid and Superior CHIP. Texas Children’s Medicaid and Texas Children’s CHIP, as well as private pay for patients who are out-of-network. Appointments may be made by calling (903) 683-1300. Walk-ins are also welcomed.
